Since forming, Red Rum Club have toured the UK extensively, booking every show themselves and adopting a strong DIY work ethic which has seen them build up an ever-expanding fanbase; a measure of their popularity is that they recently sold out the 02 Academy main room in Liverpool to 1200 fans! A VOID are a self-styled 3 piece rock band based in London, UK. Two parts Parisian, one part Londonian, they fuse the spirit of sonic grunge to a DIY punk aesthetic fueled by Boursin Cheese and pickle juice. Influences include Sonic Youth, Hole, Deftones, Bjork, Daniel Balavoine, Charles Aznavour.
Formed in Paris by singer/guitarist Camille Alexander in 2015, the band unleashed their first EP, Roses As Insides, in June 2016, before cannibalistic tendencies got the better of original drummer Roman Zaborski and bassist Robin Dickinson. Camille quickly enlisted the hard- hitting drumming skills and harmonious vocals of Marie Niemiec, before they sought exile in London. The band gigged as a two-piece until they discovered their bassist, Aaron Hartmann, lurking on a park bench.
The band indep... [Read more]

Chester, are you ready to go dance crazy to some of the most famous Ska & Reggae songs ever written?!
One of the key bands of the U.K. ska revival of the late ’70s and early ’80s, The Beat, achieved a near-perfect balance of pop melodies and taut rhythms that made them stars in Britain and won them a worldwide following. The Beat were and still are based in Birmingham, England. They released their debut single, “Tears of a Clown” b/w “Ranking Full Stop,” through the Specials’ 2-Tone label in 1979. The single went Top Ten in the U.K., and they soon struck a deal with Arista to distribute their own Go Feet label. 1980’s I Just Can’t Stop It (released by Sire in the United States) went gold in England on the strength of the single “Mirror in the Bathroom,” and the b... Tankus the Henge have built their reputation on unforgettable song writing, spectacular live performances and relentless hard work, playing hundreds of shows across Europe and building a devoted fan base along the way. Their funk-fuelled repertoire is wildly eclectic, ranging from New Orleans inspired swing to heavy rock riffs, and since their beginnings in the ratty alleyways of London’s Soho, the band has evolved into a wild groove machine.

Musically inspired by bands from the British invasion of the 60s and artists such as Tom Waits, Blur, Randy Newman and Queens of the Stone Age, and with lyrics influenced by 20th Century American Literature, specifically the Beat Generation and Gonzo journalism, Tankus the Henge defy categorisation. Their hair-raising show, like no other, has to ... [Read more]

China Crisis were never your run-of-the-mill 80s pop band. Formed in Liverpool by singer Gary Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon, they distilled their love of David Bowie and Steely Dan into an exquisitely melancholy post-punk sound that saw them win their just chart rewards. Has there ever been a more wistful Top 10 hit than the charming Wishful Thinking?

Their hero Walter Becker – of Steely Dan fame – was so impressed he even became a band member back in 1985, producing and playing on Top 10 album Flaunt the Imperfection, and returning for 1989’s hugely acclaimed Diary of a Hollow Horse. And, all the while, the hits kept rolling in… Christian, Black Man Ray and King in a Catholic Style all made their way into the UK Top 20.

“We’ll be as we are when all the fools who doubt us fade away...”  - The Icicle Works ‘Hollow Horse’ 1984

Prophetic lyrics, when you consider the fact that four decades since their formation, The Icicle Works are still on the road, and showing no signs of slowing.

Named after the 1960 short story "The Day The Icicle Works Closed" by science fiction author Frederik Pohl, The Icicle Works joined Liverpool's early 1980s 'neo-psychedelia' wave and quickly became part of the cult-like renaissance movement that included Echo And The Bunnymen, The Teardrop Explodes, Wah!, Heat, and OMD.
